Seriously, why do I like this song? I absolutely hate country music. They repeat the same thing over and over again in a high pitched voice. guess there must be something about it. I've lost all credibility now haven't I? *Edit* I wanted to note that I hate "Pop Country" music songs like this one. Over the past week or so I have submitted what I think are the worst awesomest rap songs I can imagine. There are plenty of tracks deserving mention that didn't make the list but I will reserve those for individual (outside a list) posts. I mean, i know they use my name but it's not really exceptional writing or anything but for some reason I just like it. The rest of the track does not let down as it asks "Why'd you kill my dog".... blah blah blah bone bone bone. Plenty of awesome harmonies and a visual appearance of Easy E from heaven. With a bass line that would later help Vanilla Ice sell millions of records and two of the greatest vocalists ever in the rock genre it would be a giant mistake not to include this on the list. I can remember listening to my parents vinyl copy of Queen's greatest hits and literally bouncing off of the walls during this track.

Okay – I think that everyone can agree that The Goonies is one of the greatest films of all time. In a time prior to soundtracks being a big deal it was noteworthy that well known artist was making a song and subsequent video that took place on the set of the movie. If that isn’t awesome enough you get to see nearly all of your favorite baddie wrestlers from the 80’s. I know that it is a little long and hearing the chorus of the song can get a bit tedious but I would suggest that you sit back and relax and enjoy the Lauper.

I won't lie and tell you that I have any idea what the "Safety Dance" lyrics mean but I know that one of the clearest indications that a song is worth it's salt is that Weird Al covers it. Midget jesters in the video don't hurt either. As a kid I used to run around the house playing the imaginary flute whilst listening to this song. 1983 - What a great year for music about dancing! Hang tight through the beginning of this video if you want to witness the miracle. Mike and Mechanics were always in the shadow of genesis but in my opinion wrote some fantastic songs. Heart breakers like "The Living Years" and good pop love songs like the one above. I wonder if this actually qualifies as a song you might not admit you like but it was too good for me personally to pass up.

I originally started watching Idol because I had to see the people who were absolutely terrible try out for the show. While that remains incredibly satisfying to this day (see above) I have also come to realize that there are some truly talented and worthwhile contestants. Do I follow them after they leave the show? I own Taylor Hicks album and listened to it a few time but no, I do not keep up. I'll be honest though. The top 24 or 36 (whatever they are doing that year) is just some damn good television. Sure the performances can suck but every once in a while there is a magical moment that just blows you away which makes Idol a show you have to admit that you like.

Nearly everyday of my Highschool life my friend and I would hightail it off of the bus so we could catch the "Saved By the Bell" power hour. Thank Zack for the extra 5 minutes that TBS would give us or we never would have caught the sweet, sweet intro above. From Jessie's battle with caffeine pills to the gang trying to save The Max this was one of those shows that you would watch and not have any idea why you were doing it. Who wouldn't love a show that switches from Indianapolis, Indiana to California without any explanation. That is just one example of the excellent writing on this show. I miss you "Saved By the Bell."

Thank the good lord! I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to find an embeddable version of this song anywhere on the Internet. Seems as if the Hanson boys decided that they wouldn't allow people the privilege. Here is the deal though, when it comes to music, this track and a certain Backstreet Boys song that will come up later down the line are really what this place is all about. Both songs are fantastic and no one in their right mind would admit that they like them. Now is your chance to break free from the chains that Wilson Phillips sang about below.

Also, if you have any interest in recommending something that no one would admit they like (Music, Book, Movie etc...) I would be happy to hear about it. I love you guys as much as I love the crap you'll hear and see here.
